With a lifetime spent working with stone, James Thurtle has built Flagstone Restoration into a specialist craft company dedicated to bringing historic flagstone floors back to life. Working across Somerset, Devon and Dorset, we carefully restore Blue Lias, Welsh Pennant, Hamstone and Purbeck floors to their natural lighter tones.

Much more than a cleaning service, we provide full conservation-led restoration: opening joints, repointing with lime mixes, removing ingrained dirt and contaminants, and finishing with natural oils and beeswax. Every project is carried out with traditional care and modern dustless technology-ensuring your floors not only look beautiful but continue to breathe as the fabric of your home.
